Our room is £105 per night, per couple or £95 for single occupancy.
We are non-smoking in the house but can provide ashtrays if you wish to smoke in the grounds.

We are happy to accept well behaved house trained guest dogs; please read our guest dog policy.
Sorry we do not allow guests under the age of 16.
(We do have up to date online availability and booking)
We accept payment by card (MasterCard and Visa but not American Express)
A deposit equal to one night’s stay is required to guarantee a reservation. Fourteen days notice of cancellation is required for refund. Please note we’re a small business and rely mostly on forward bookings, so cancellations can have a significant impact on us. If a cancellation occurs within 14 days of arrival the deposit will not be refunded. We strongly advise that you have travel insurance should you need to cancel.
We would only cancel your booking if your accommodation was unavailable for reasons beyond our control. We would however attempt to offer you alternative accommodation. If this was not possible, or unacceptable to you, then we would refund all monies paid by you for the booking. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund.

The Small Print
Please take care when staying in our property. You are responsible and liable for any breakages or damages, which you cause, to the accommodation or its contents. All we ask is that you report any incidents as they occur. We do not normally charge for minor breakages, but we may send you an invoice for repair or making good if the damage or breakage is significant.
We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves or our employees or contractors whilst acting in the course of employment.
Purdy & Chester would like to welcome you and your dog(s) to our luxury Dog Friendly Somerset B&B.
We are happy to welcome friendly adult dogs and their owners to The Baker’s Suite. The room is perfect for dogs and owners who enjoy a bit of luxury; it has direct access to the parking area, where there is an outside tap. There is a quiet country lane for a short stroll and there are numerous walks nearby where dogs are safe to run off the lead. Maps are available in your room.
We’re not big on rules at The Old Bakery but we’d be grateful if you could read the following carefully to ensure you and your dogs have a relaxing stay. If The Old Bakery isn’t the right dog friendly B&B for you and your canine friend then please see the Dogpeople website for a selection of other places locally.
We are happy to welcome responsible dog owners and well behaved house trained dogs at The Old Bakery. Sorry no dogs that are likely to be at all aggressive to other dogs or people.
Any bagged dog waste should be put in the wheelie bin in the bin store. Please clear up after your dog at The Old Bakery or if you are out and about. We live in an agricultural area with livestock that can be harmed by dog waste. We are happy to provide free bio degradable dog bags.
We know (from personal experience!) that even well trained dogs can have accidents in strange places – if this happens, please let us know, we have a wonderful carpet cleaner that Pip loves to use!. We’d be grateful if you could dry off dogs and wipe off muddy paws before taking them into the bedroom – dog towels provided.
We are not able to allow dogs in the kitchen/dining room at breakfast so will be happy to serve your breakfast in your room.
If you are following a marked footpath through a field with livestock then please keep your dog on a lead. When the lambs are very young if you can avoid walking through the field, even when following a footpath, then please do so. Both the ewes and lambs can bolt and end up losing each other. I personally also avoid walking my dogs in a field of bullocks.
Please don’t allow your dog on the bed or other furniture.
We request that dogs aren’t left alone in the guest bedroom when you go out. We’ve found out the hard way that even well trained dogs who are happy to be left home alone may bark constantly, scratch and have accidents when left in a strange place.
And finally if there is anything we can do to make you and your dogs stay more relaxing please let us know! Our Springer Spaniels, Purdy and Chester stay in a separate wing of the house, so if your doggie would prefer, they don’t need to meet.
